Prof. Siegwart M. Lindenberg PhD, one of the most renowned representatives of the rational choice paradigm in social sciences, was a guest of SFB 882 at research projects A6’s and B3’s invitation on November 26th, 2013.
The agenda commenced with a workshop with researches of SFB 882, focussing on the discussion of two theories developed by Lindenberg, Social Production Function Theory and Goal Framing Theory, and their application in the context of SFB research projects. While Siegwart Lindenberg highlighted the current state of theoretical developments, the SFB projects presented the empirical fields of application for these theories. Afterwards, Prof. Lindenberg gave a public talk on “Not feeling at home in one's own society: the Role of status, inequality, and government policy” in the SFB 882 Colloquium.
